CHAMPIONS

Become european maths champions

A PROJECT THAT CONNECTS MATHS & ENGLISH

The Erasmus+ project “Become European maths champions” has recently been approved and receives funding from the European Union. It begins the last quarter of 2020 and plans to end the third quarter of 2023.

Our association is made up of 6 schools, with 4070 students. The Bertí School, in l’Ametlla del Vallès, Barcelona, plays the coordinating role and involves 5 more European countries: Croatia, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Romania. Projects of this type combine collaborative activities both virtually and in person. For this reason, 5 mobility of students and teachers are planned in the other countries of the association, but the latter can only be done if the current health situation improves.

The main objective of the project is to continue the process of improving the teaching of mathematics and English, as well as to improve our results. For this reason, we share and contribute new educational practices for our students and we also learn about other cultures using English in a more meaningful way.

CHAMPIONS LOGO

We need to create a logo that makes us a great team! All students from 6 schools have worked hard to create a logo using maths concepts and taking into account the European spirit of our partnership.

OUR ACRONYM

CHAMPIONS is more than a word. It’s the acronym that defines our project. All words are part of our learning goals taking into consideration how to improve our students’ results by learning new approaches to teaching.
